Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about PUSH.
PUSH is designed for use during labor itself. We recommend packing it in your hospital or birth center bag alongside your other essentials. Sip regularly throughout active labor to maintain hydration and support your body's demands.
Yes — starting hydration early in labor is beneficial. PUSH is gentle enough to begin during early labor and continue through active labor and delivery. Check with your care team if you have a planned cesarean, as some hospitals have pre-surgery fluid restrictions.
PUSH is made with food-grade FDA GRAS ingredients and is designed to be a safe hydration option during labor. That said, always check with your OB-GYN or midwife in advance, especially if you have a high-risk pregnancy or planned procedure.
Each Pushee formula is designed for a specific stage. PRE supports daily hydration during pregnancy. PUSH is formulated for the intense electrolyte and energy demands of labor specifically. POST supports postpartum recovery and milk production. The electrolyte ratios and ingredient selections differ for each stage.
We recommend packing at least 3–5 sticks in your hospital bag for a typical birth. Labor lengths vary widely, so having extra is always a good idea. Our Try It size (15 sticks) is a great option to have on hand.
